Wimbai High ResWimbai Mutonono is an emerging non-profit professional, passionate to combine leadership and education to make a significant contribution in the field of leadership development.  Wimbai has over 10 years of diverse experience in faith-based education, and the non-profit sector with emphasis in program administration, youth career/workforce readiness training, youth mentoring, organizational coaching, organizational consulting, crisis management, and leadership team building.

Wimbai is a native of Zimbabwe, Africa, who came to the United States in January of 2000 to pursue studies at Kentucky Christian University. Prior to that, Wimbai had completed a Bachelor of Science diploma program with Zimbabwe Christian College.   He also has a Master of Arts degree in Leadership Studies from Kentucky Christian University.  Wimbai is also a recent graduate of Leadership Northshore, a Slidell based emerging leadership training program.  During his time of training in the Leadership Northshore program, Wimbai was selected by his peers to serve as the class president, and he now serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for the program.

In addition to serving on the Leadership Northshore Board of Trustees, Wimbai also sits on several other boards.  He is a member of the East St. Tammany Habbitat For Humanity, Board of Directors, the Northshore Disaster Recovery Inc. (NDRI), and Pursuit Of Achievement Transitional Housing (PATH).

Wimbai has cross-cultural teaching and mission experience in Haiti and in Africa. Wimbai’s career objective is, “to be instrumental in establishing a youth development and program that will relevantly meet the needs of today’s future workforce and leaders while communicating culturally effective leadership and management trends.”

Wimbai is married to Olena Mutonono, also a graduate of Kentucky Christian University with a Master of Arts in New Testament.  Olena volunteers with the Institute as an Instructor focusing on New Testament studies. Wimbai and Olena are proud parents of a son – Stephen Davis Mutonono.
